REAL Life: Daniel's Success Story

The Story

Inside the Richmond City Justice Center, inmates who are interested participate in the REAL Program, a multifaceted course of study aimed at Recovering from Everyday Addictive Lifestyles. Upon their release, an affiliated non-profit organization, REAL Life, seeks to provide the vital support necessary for successful re-entry through creating opportunities for housing, employment, and managing substance use disorders. The young effort has already generated several success stories—including that of Daniel, whom we were fortunate to meet and profile in this video portrait in early 2017.
